Samsung Gear S2 is made of stainless steel casing. You may get the Apple Watch of various materials (aluminum, stainless steel and 18-karat gold) that is according to your budget.
The Apple Watch provides you huge number of choices in terms of casings and straps. But Samsung Gear S2 has just two colors (silver and dark gray). And the Gear S2 Classic is available in black only.
The Samsung Gear S2’s display size (round screen) is about 5 percent bigger than the 42 mm Apple Watch's rectangular screen.
The Samsung Gear S2 is water resistant (IP68 rated) and can endure delayed submersion beyond 1 m (3.3 ft) for maximum 3 m (9.8 ft). The Apple Watch is though water resistant (IPX7 rated), but it recommends users not to immerse the device.
Both the smart watches have their individual voice control systems.
The Samsung Gear S2 does not have reminder facility but the Apple Watch does.
The Gear S2 does not support iPhones but the Apple Watch works well with iPhone.
